I passed Development of Strategy!! The end of this mammoth task to become a chartered governance professional that I took on a few years ago is so close and I am beyond excited!! True story: When I was younger, I used to say “I would complete all my studies before starting a family just like my mother taught me” So like a good obedient child, I did my Law degree and masters before starting a family. Then I noticed that if I don’t pursue additional training and development, I could be left behind and guess what - I ended up doing the thing I swore I’d never do. Studying with 2 children, multiple businesses, a husband, a global pandemic (yes this started during Covid) and all the other pressures of life has been INSANE! I spend loads of time with God just to stay grounded. So there’s always a special sense of joy to wake up to good news when exam results come out. This is a graduation that I am really looking forward to. #CGIUKI

100% truth. My mom used to say “Don’t ask God to guide your footsteps if you aren’t willing to move your feet” Know when to stay yes, but sometimes even more important than that is knowing when to leave.
