Make a list of the small things you can do every day and take one action at a time. Then you can add the next step and then the next. If you keep taking a step forward, you eventually arrive at your destination.โฃWhen you start to build your confidence and see results around something you may have previously believed to be impossible, itโs incredible what areas of your life open up.โฃSo, whether youโre deep into your fitness journey or just thinking about getting started, know that if you keep your mind open, success in fitness shows you that anything is possible.โฃFitness is empowerment to the core. ๐ If you think you have neither the time nor energy for your fitnessโฆ let me tell you a story!Raise your hand if youโve ever caught yourself in a Netflix marathon when you know you should be getting a workout in or getting your meal prep doneโฆ๐ โ Thatโs me, raising my hand.During a stressful time a while ago, I caught myself in that loop, and it was starting to take its toll.I felt exhausted and overwhelmed!The problem is, it's easy to let these small distractions eat up the time meant for our real priorities. In my house we say that if you donโt take care of the small things then they lead to bigger problems.Thatโs when I decided it was time to get REAL about my priorities โ and give them the TIME and ATTENTION they deserve.And that meant scheduling them โ yes, directly into my calendar, so they would be non-negotiable โ to make sure they got checked off!When you have a plan then important things have a place. I scheduled important things like workouts and prep work into blocks of time on my Google Calendar. Time blocking helped me transform my 'I wish' into 'I will' โ and the results? Incredible!I also empowered my support system, aka my family members, to call me out when they saw me drifting into time wasters at a time I had higher priorities.If you're struggling to make time for your health goals, let's connect. This is draining you more than you thinkโฆWhat's standing between you and your fitness goals?The reason is there. Like a shadow. Just lingering. We know it's there, but we ignore it, hoping it'll go away on its own.But these hurdles drain your energyโฆ resourcesโฆ and confidence.And worst yet, they reinforce the old stories we tell ourselves about our ability to change.Example:A client told me that during the pandemic, she got into the habit of having a glass of wine before dinner โ every single night. (Let's call her Sara.)It became habit for her. Once she got home from work, out came the wine bottle.Because Sara was trying to trying to get into better shape... that wine habit became like a shadow. BUTโฆ this isn't even about the wine.It's about ANYTHING that helps you "numb out" from the dayโฆ a bowl of ice cream, a couple of hours playing video games, a nighttime TV habit, or doom scrolling on your phone.At some point those habits were serving you in some way โ maybe they provided a temporary comfort, a distraction, or helped you escape stress.๐ But the fact is that now, they're an obstacle between you and your goals.Do YOU have any "numbing out" habits that aren't serving you any longer?Pinpointing them is the first step. At 360 Fitness, we do NOT recommend cutting out every obstacle at the same time. And we don't hold judgement - we all get low sometimes. But if you start by targeting those unhelpful habits one by one, before you know it you'll gain a huge amount of momentum โ and be that much closer to crushing your goals.ANDโฆ bonus! Just acknowledging those "shadows" helps take away their power.

Your health and fitness journey is about more than just physical transformation; it impacts your overall well-being, including your clarity of purpose and values. There is a relationship between having clear values and purpose for your life and the influence they have on your health and fitness journey. Most people get caught in a negative cycle of starting and stoping on their goals. If you prioritize your health and fitness you can fuel your values and purpose, creating a positive cycle of growth. Having clear values is a compass, guiding your actions and decisions. When you define the type of person you want to be, you establish a foundation for your health and fitness journey. For example, one of my clients goals is resilience, because thatโs what she wants to develop she perceives the challenges she has in the gym and the process of staying consistent with life happening 1000mph with dedication and perseverance. The obstacle is the way. She knows the resilience she build in the gym will be applied to her family and business. When you align your fitness goals with your purpose, exercising and taking care of your body become a clearer investment that contribute to your overall well-being. My wife and I worked out and ate well for our mental health at first. It was our go to stress management technique. But when we had our first child purpose became clearer we wanted to lead by example. Whether your purpose is to be a role model for your family or to lead an organization , incorporating health and fitness into your purpose reinforces their importance beyond just looking good.As you take care of your body and mind, you become better equipped to live in alignment with your values and pursue your purpose with greater clarity and vitality. This positive cycle becomes a habit and accelerates personal growth.

Most people jump straight into health and fitness tactics, but you'd be better off starting with a clear understanding of your bigger goals to avoid wasting time, energy, and patience.This is where the first principle of thinking comes into play. It helps us focus on the tactics that truly matter by distilling complicated situations into their core essence.By stripping a problem down to its fundamentals, separating facts from assumptions, you can create a tailored strategy that resonates with your personal circ*mstances.In the realm of health and fitness, think about these foundational principles:1. Goals: Define what you want to achieve and by when.2. Willingness: Establish boundaries. For instance, "I'm willing to adjust my sleep schedule to fit in a workout, but don't expect me to chug a vegetable smoothie unless I can spike it with Gray Goose and Tabasco."3. Available Resources: Understand what you have at your disposal, be it time, money, or other resources.With clarity on these three aspects, you're well on your way to constructing a strategy that will guide you to your desired outcome.-J ps. Staying motivated to your health and fitness goals can be tough. Instead of digging yourself deeper into that hole, beating yourself up for what you feel you have not done -remember a simple change in your thinking can make all the difference.Our thoughts determine our beliefs which impact our feelings. Our feelings influence our actions, which shape our thoughts - and the cycle continues.Here are some ways in which positive thinking can help you stick to your goals:๐ The greatest obstacle you will face during any fitness goals, is yourself. Being positive is much harder than being negative, and consistent negative self-talk will deter you from pursuing anything worthwhile. Instead of focusing on all the things you have not achieved and how "far away" that end goal is -celebrate the fact that you have chosen to do something positive for your health - choosing to be healthier and taking steps towards it is a big step - so recognize it.๐ During your journey, acknowledge the little wins - no matter how small. It is important to consistently recognize your progress throughout and not just the end goal - this is what keeps us going and what keeps us motivated! Whether it is managing to drink more water, getting more steps on a given day, managing to improve your sleep - these are all small wins that add up to you achieving your ultimate goal.๐ Visualize. When we visualize what we want to achieve and imagine ourselves achieving it, it activates the creative powers of the subconscious mind, you will notice new levels of motivation.๐ Have a positive attitude towards yourself. If you want to lose weight, or build muscle, you have to believe that you can do all the things you need to do to achieve that. Remember whether you think you can or you can't you are right.๐ A great way to stay in a positive mindset is to list all your achievements at the end of each day.
