Dearest Crock Pot,

Oh how I love thee. When I am not in the mood to dirty 5 pans, or even be in my kitchen for more than 5 minutes, you really come in handy. Thank you for making my life a little bit easier at times. How can I ever repay you?

Yours Truly,

Holly 😉

Now to the rest of you
This is a delicious and easy meal to make your family! Sometimes my little family gets bored of eating chicken all the time, so this dish is a great alternative.

This pork has tons of flavor, and as it slowly cooks it turns the soup and ranch seasoning into an amazing gravy for the pork chops. This is a new family favorite for sure!

  • 2 cans (10 ounces, each) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch dressing/ seasoning mix
  • chopped Parsley for sprinkling optional

Instructions

  • Place pork chops in the bottom of a greased crock pot. Pour the soups over the chops and then sprinkle with ranch seasoning packet. Close the lid and cook on low heat for 4 hours OR on high heat for 3 hours.

  4. Wow! This is what was already on my menu for tonight, too – minus the ranch mix. May have to throw that in. I like to throw in quartered potatoes, also. Yum!

  5. I have pork chops in the fridge for 2nite – I am making PW’s garlic and wine pork chops. If I had seen this already I would try this – I love anything with ranch flavor
and I love the crockpot!

  13. I made this a few weeks ago and thought it was way too salty. Do you know of an alternative to the ranch powder?

    Reply

    1. I am going to make mine with a package of onion soup mix
..also adding 2 packages of dried pork fravy mix and 3 cups chicken broth for lots of gravy
.

    2. A tip I read on another site was to put some cut up potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker and they will absorb some of the extra salt. Worth trying!

    3. I use low sodium soup. I also use cream of mushroom. You can use cream of celery too. Also can make this with boneless chicken. Always use low sodium soup.

  14. Hi April. Sorry to hear it was too salty for you 🙁 I honestly dont know what another alternative would be instead of the ranch. We really enjoyed this and didnt think it was too salty, but I guess everyone has different taste buds.

  15. I’m super sensitive to the salt! I don’t even like Chick fil A anymore because the breading is too salty! It’s very sad, I know! 🙂

    1. Try making your own condensed cram of chicken soup. This way you can cut out quite a bit of salt. I used this recipe: 2.5 cups chicken broth, 1.5 cups 2% milk, 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp salt (optional). Boil chicken broth and 1/2 cup milk. In a bowl mix all dry ingredients and remaining milk. Whisk into boiling chicken broth until thickened. Use right away in your recipe. This is what I used and mine came out amazing.

  17. I’ve made this recipe a few times, it’s simple & tasty. I made it today, but I only had 2 cream of mushroom soups, not worried about that, I’m sure it will still be tasty.

I didn’t realize until I had already dumped it in the crock was that I was using the DIP Hidden Valley instead of the dressing. I hope it’s still ok.

I cook mine in a round crock pot & can never get a chop out whole, is there some trick to this that I don’t know?

  19. Hooray for simplicity! Will be trying this.

BTW, for the salt-sensitive folk, you can buy low-sodium cream of chicken. Might be a good option. You can also make your own ranch mix, but that takes the easy out of it . . .

  20. I made this today and it was great. So simple. If I wanted to use chicken breast instead of pork chops could I ? and would the cook time be the same or less ?

    Reply

    1. Yes you can use chicken also.

  21. I make this with boneless skinless chicken thighs. The meat falls apart and it is great over mashed potatoes, toast, and rice. Porkchops are next though

  22. Is this low carb or just an easy good meal? I am asking because it showed up in my search for low carb crock pot recipes search. I wouldn’t care but I am a recently new dietetic and I have to be careful what I eat

  23. I made this tonight and it was delish! I used 2 packets of the ranch seasoning. I seasoned the chop with a little accent and pepper, and also put a tad of the ranch seasoning on each chop. I mixed the ranch seasoning with the soups before putting in the crockpot. I also added a small pat of butter on top of each chop before covering with soup mix. I cooked it on low and it only took about 3 1/2 hrs. They were so good and so moist. Almost fell apart when cutting into them. I will definitely make this again!

I love this recipe. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for substituting the pork chops for boneless skinless chicken BREAST? (That’s all I have available for dinner tomorrow.) WOULD I change the temperature and/or cooking time?

    Reply

    1. Hi Cassandra, yes you can definitely use chicken instead of pork chops. Boneless chicken cooks pretty fast in slow cookers in my experience. Over the years I have realized that, so if I were to do this now with chicken I would cook it on low heat for only 3 to 4 hours.
