The Meal-Time Hack New Parents Love: An ezpz Review - jessicagoodpaster.com (2024)

I distinctly remember standing in a baby supply store at around 20 weeks pregnant, registry gun in hand, with tear-filled eyes because I was completely overwhelmed! As a first-time mom, I didn’t have the slightest clue which baby bathtub was safest or which crib mattress would give my newborn the best night of sleep. Eventually, I started scanning things and hoping for the best. Nine years and two kids later, there is one product I happily recommend to moms. This ezpz review explains why I think these products are a must-have for parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers everywhere.

Note: I reached out to ezpz before writing this because I love to partner with companies I actually use. They sent me a Happy Mat, spoon, and fork for free! Everything else featured in this article was purchased with my own cash money before I had any relationship with them. I’ll also get a small commission if you buy anything after using my links at no extra cost to you. In fact, you can save 25% off orders of $75 or more with promo code EZPZ25LOVE. Now back to the ezpz review.

If you aren’t familiar with ezpz, they have silicone plates and bowls with an attached placemat that suctions to the table. Unlike some of the competitors, these really stay put and don’t require moisture to seal. But they are easy for parents to remove without causing damage to surfaces. All this keeps mess to a minimum, which is a definite plus with kids who are learning how to self-feed.

Mini Mat is a Lifesaver

As I mentioned, we started with the Mini Mat, which was a lifesaver for my daughter who LOVED to throw her plate off the table. I like that it has sections for different foods and is easy to pack to grandparents’ houses or restaurants. Now they have lids making it even easier for travel. And they are dishwasher, microwave, and even oven safe. We have two of these, used daily for years and they have tons of life left.

ezpz Happy Bowl Still Going Strong

Next, we got the Happy Bowl that is perfect for oatmeal with fruit on the side each morning. My daughter is five and she still uses this every day. We dump the oatmeal packet into the bowl and heat it up in the microwave, she eats, then we toss it in the dishwasher. It’s so much easier to clean up the inevitable drops from the mat than off the table on busy mornings. And we only used one dish!

The Happy Bowl is great for reducing mess with oatmeal and cereal, but can be used for soups, pasta, or whatever meals you want to contain.

Happy Mat Grows With Your Child

The Happy Mat is bigger than the Mini Mat and is great for larger portions and as they grow. The ezpz team recommends it for ages 24 months and beyond. We plan to continue using ours for our messy daughter for the foreseeable future.

The Happy Mat is larger than the Mini Mat to grow with your child.

ezpz Has Spoons and Forks

The utensil set is perfectly designed for easy grasping. Since the spoon and fork are made of silicone and nylon, they don’t make a cringe-worthy metallic scraping sound when kids inevitably bite down on it.

Perfect Baby Shower Gift

There are products for different ages and stages, designed with the guidance of a speech-language pathologist, so you’re sure to find the right size for each milestone. The First Foods Set makes a great baby shower gift with a Tiny Cup, Tiny Spoons, and Tiny Bowl to prepare mom and baby for early feeding adventures.

Unfortunately, ezpz hadn’t invented the Mini Cup and Straw Training System when my kids needed them, but you can take advantage of it now. Or try the Play Mat which makes arts and crafts time a whole lot cleaner.

ezpz Review Bottom Line

I genuinely love ezpz products! You can see how I featured the mats and bowls throughout this blog long before I ever wrote this ezpz review. (Check out my toddler meal ideas, beach tips for young kids, and mom gift ideas posts.) It did not surprise me to learn it is a mom-owned business created to solve a real-world problem because it has certainly made mealtime easier for my family.

I don’t have to worry about entire plates being knocked in the floor. The Happy Bowl makes breakfast much simpler. Plus, I can travel with them. These quality products are designed to last and have been used over and over for years in my house. They are worth every penny and are truly a must-have product for new (and experienced) parents. But don’t just take my word for it, try ezpz for yourself. Use coupon code EZPZ25LOVE at checkout for 20% off orders of $75 or more.
