Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie is sensational. Seriously, this is one of the most awesome pies you’ll ever eat. It’s drool-worthy extraordinaire. 🙂 I started with my fantastic Toll House Pie recipe and converted it to one using Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups instead. Yes, it was some kind of scrumptious.

One of the things I did to make this easier, is to buy the miniature unwrapped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. So I didn’t have to waste time unwrapping the candies. Nor did I have to cut them down like I would have for the normal size. That alone will save 20 minutes prep time.
Our pastor of eight years left our church to pastor one in Fort Worth at the end of October. On his last Sunday with our congregation we had a celebration party. I brought two of these pies and set them up on the dessert table. I told probably 20-30 people to give the pie a try. And they did! One of our college girls accused me of trying to get her fat! 🙂 We had a good laugh over that. Later she begged me to teach her how to make homemade pie! Yeah, that’s when you know you’ve hit a home run.
Everyone loved this pie. I’m not kidding when I say it’s stinking rich. Most people cut off smaller pieces. But I gorged on a whole piece by myself. I had to eat it in between bites of chicken and brisket though, because it really is sweet.
This is a delightful pie for holidays or company. I recommend it for Valentine’s day, especially if you’re a chocolate or peanut butter lover. While this is a great way to use up Halloween candy, don’t wait until fall to try out this scrumptious pie! Get the ingredients and make one now! Prepare to drool, baby, drool. 🙂
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie is so awesome.
Peanut Butter and chocolate together in pie are sensational.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie is sinfully rich. It’s hard to eat more than about half a slice at a time. Oh, so good. 🙂
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
It is a lot easier using the Reese’s minis that are already unwrapped. It saves a lot of time not having to cut the peanut butter cups into smaller pieces or unwrap each individual candy.
Unroll pie crust dough.
Roll out pie crust and place into pie plate. Crimp edges. Set aside.
Beat eggs in a bowl until frothy. This will take between 3 to 5 minutes.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add sugar and brown sugar.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add melted butter that’s been cooled slightly.
Mix again with an electric mixer until combined. Be careful of splatters!
Add part of the unwrapped mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Pour filling into prepared pie shell.
Bake about 40 to 45 minutes at 325. Remove from oven.
Add remaining unwrapped mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Bake about 30 minutes longer at 325, or until pie is set. Allow pie to cool before cutting into serving pieces. (Or serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream).
Serve Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
This is a terrific dessert for holidays and special occasions.
If you have chocolate lovers or peanut butter lovers in your house, this pie is sure to be a hit with them.
Here’s the recipe.
