I love it when I can say that the books in a series just gets better with each new addition. After reading book 3, I was so in love with Asa's book that I thought that would be it. No way could I love anything more. Boy, was I wrong.

Noah Jarvis has been a very anticipated book for fans of this series, myself included. I knew it was going to be good, but this was so much more. I was blown away by how much I fell for Noah and Gracie. The feels in this was unexpected. Each chapter had me melting into a pile of mush all the way to the end.

You know that satisfying feeling you get with some books as you close out that last chapter? Where you knew you picked the perfect read, at the perfect time, and you just want to sit for awhile and recap the whole darn book in your head? That's how Noah and Gracie made me feel when I finished.

Their journey was rough and I quote from the book "we've hit every pothole" but Noah's determination to make Gracie his made every single pothole worth it. šŸ’•

ok but Noah & Gracie are lowkey the country version of Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie šŸ˜ā™„

tropes:

- the Killer and the Healer šŸ•µļøā€ā™‚ļøšŸ‘©ā€āš•ļø
- one night stand that doesnt get the chance to be called as such cause the hero literally wont leave the heroine alone šŸ˜ˆ
- brothers bestfriend (or more aptly put, colleague) but the hero doesnt know he bangs the sister until after the sexathon šŸ¤

Noah (one of my favorite male names btw) & Gracie meet at Asaā€™s (hero of Gifts) wedding. they play 20 questions and decide to spend the night together. Gracie is leaving for Uganda where shes to volunteer at one of the hospitals there for two weeks, and she thinks a ONS with Noah is just what she should do before her plane takes off in the morning.

so they do the deed, right? well, apparently its so good that theyre going at it in every postition they can think of and get each other off multiple times lol. when its done, Gracie is ready to bolt out the door and say sayonara. however, Noah wants more. he gets so attached that it turns him into a *stalker* (sort of). shut up, its cute ok! lemme explain:

- he pulls up her background and learns quickly what is to know about her
- he follows her to the airport, gives her goodbye for now kiss, and buys her coffee (the way she likes it), two breakfast burritos, and a blueberry muffin
- he gets on a (private) plane himself and surprises her in Paris (where she drops off for her transit) and they spend the day hiking the Sonian Forest before she has to leave again
- he gets her an international plan for her phone so they can still communicate while shes in Uganda

i mean really, that must be some serious fairy coochie Gracie has under her panties to turn a man like Noah (a contract assassin whoā€™s still active and on the job unlike the heroes from previous three books) into a lovesick puppy. šŸ˜¹ all of that aside, i truly did love Veils - almost as much as i did Gifts but not quite.

their relationship seemed to develop like a rocket launch, but i loved that Noah was

possessive persistent and it took awhile for Gracie to cave in. i loved the part where she was in Uganda and reading what she learned. i loved her text exchanges with Noah cause they were full of banter and it was sweet, entertaining, but also meaningful.

at one point, Gracie was kidnapped and Noah had to pull all the stops to save her. i loved that too cause that was some James Bond/Hitman moment right there. šŸ¤øā€ā™‚ļøšŸ”« the part where they recuperated in Paris seemed dragged to me mostly cause i was impatient for them to get back to the US and for the men (brother) to find out about their relationship.

when they did find out (the brother especially), it was like a catfight, but filled with testosterone, had gone down lol. this book be servinā€™ me some bromance, and i loved that too. when Noah was angry tho, he turned into one scary motherf*ckah. the action at the end was quite thrilling, and i ate that up too. oh, and the twist about Noahā€™s parents? bravo!

theres one thing Gracie keeps from Noah that he doesnt find out until she eventually tells him. at first i was like, that was so sad. :( but i think the epilogue wrapped up perfectly. so overall, characters, romance, plot, action?? cheffs kiss. šŸ˜˜ i cant wait to read the next book cause it looks like the couple is gonna be the Mr. & Mrs. Smith of the group.

Veils (The Killers #4) (4)
https://www.instagram.com/p/B4Vq1QeAle2/

5 Million ā€˜ALL The Memoriesā€™ Stars

SUPERB in EVERY possible way!!! I have a new BA best book boyfriend and his name is Noah! Yep, thatā€™s right, Iā€™m staking SET IN STONE claim to this man, the most swoon worthy ALPHA of them all: HE. IS. MINE!

Veils is so masterfully crafted all the emotions, all the deep feelings and intricate love story will forever be branded in my heart! Truly my new Brynne Asher FAV!!!

One Night. One memory. Who would know it would turn into forever?! This story hit every single one of my romance loving heartā€™s spot. Ms. Brynne created my perfect ā€˜best friendā€™s little sisterā€™ / ā€˜opposites attractā€™ love story.

I put my lips to her parted ones and thereā€™s no easing in to anything. Weā€™ve got one night and this woman powers my insides from zero to sixty in an instant.

ā€œI want all the memories with you, Noah Jarvis. Soul-wrenching and life-changing memories. Iā€™m desperate for them.ā€

Sweet baby Jesus, this book starts FULL ON! These two are all about the insta lust upon the first glance, and it was explosively HOT!!! *still fanning myself* Gracie and Jarvis were two strangers crossing paths in Asaā€™s wedding ā€“ if you havenā€™t read the read the rest of the Killers, you have too! ā€“ an insanely hot magnetism pulling them together, and there was no way to resist. Gracie wanted one night to remember, and well, she sure had one. One that let to a lifetime of beautiful and soul deep memoriesā€¦

Strong, but not.
Vulnerable, but not.
Definitely determined. But she gives in to me.

ā€œGo chase your dreams, baby. Every single one of them. You deserve it.ā€

Chase hard, baby.

Such PERFECT realistically flawed characters, these two! Gracie one of the best heroines Iā€™ve had the pleasure of reading, so pained, but so strong, so tortured but sassy, I loved everything about her, specially her strength and will to overcome her fears and fight for a independent future, her own place in the world.

Jarvis, or should I say, Noah, aka MY MAN, was EVERYTHING!! The definition of ALPHA, from the possessive, protective and swooniness to the knowing what he wanted from the very first moment and fighting for it, RELENTLESSLY, until he unveiled all of Gracieā€™s insecurities and doubts, and annihilated all the walls she permanently had surrounding her heart, like the true killer that he is. Awwwww, Noahā€¦ *heart eyes*

ā€œWow. Iā€™ve got you almost naked and you Jarvised me? I need to up my game.ā€

She cranes her neck around to look up at me. Itā€™s intimate and one that lovers share. She smiles like sheā€™s never been happier and I think my f*cking chest might do something that only happens on the Hallmark channel or chick flicks.
Iā€™m not proud of it, but it is what it is.

The banter was spot on, and we all know how much I adore a good and witty back and forth. From that very first meet the game was ON, and I loved every delicious second ā€“ or should I say word ā€“ of it.

Veils truly is the full emotional range romance package. Scorchingly sexy, witty funny, but also heart wrenchingly deep and complex, Gracie and Noahā€™s story ran us through all the range of possible feelings.

Desires and cravings turned into basic and uncomplicated essentials for survivalā€”water and oxygen ā€¦ Noah and Gracie.

ā€œItā€™s time to yank off that veil because I want all of you.ā€

Ms. Asher proved once again the talented and creative story teller that she is, always giving us new and oh so fresh love stories, that we canā€™t avoid but cherish forever. Veils is unmoving proof of it, Gracie and Noahā€™s story is EPIC love story material all the way. Not only one of my top reads of the years, Veils went straight to my ALL TIME FAV list, I wonā€™t soon forget these twoā€™s romance, and its world wide journey to their HEA! EPIC LOVE!!! And yes, like the Killers ā€“ ok, all things BA ā€“ addict that I am and after that teaser by the end, Iā€™m already dying for the next killer to fall, or to see how he fell, should I say, LOL! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

ā€œThe rest of you can have Jarvis. Noah is all mine.ā€

ā€œYes. Mine. You can be a badass for everyone else, but this,ā€ I press my hand over his heart, ā€œis mine.ā€

ā€œThen itā€™s official.ā€
ā€œWhat?ā€ I ask. ā€œThat youā€™re crazy?ā€
He shakes his head. ā€œThat I love you and Iā€™m the luckiest man alive.ā€

I am so happy to be able to pick up Veils. I love Gifts. Miss Asher fills her book with that irresistable banter. I love it. I listened to the audio book in one sitting.

Noah is easy to be fallen in love with. He is funny and vulnerable at the same time. But Gracie... I had difficult time to connect. I do not like her drama queen tendency, her immature decision making and she is very very needy. I almost takes away 1 star because of her.

But the banter and the plot is interesting so I end up liking this book very much. I will be sure to pick up other book in this series.

Veils (The Killers #4) (10)

If you know me or follow my reviews then you know that I am a huge lover of the brothers-best-friend trope. So I've read a lot of it. But Brynne Asher came into this trope and completely shattered all expectations I have for it. My favorite scenes from stories like this are where the brother finds out about the relationship and I love the angst that comes from it. Well Jarvis and Grady pretty much exploded my Kindle with all the tension and angst they had going on. It was so intense and I was smiling the entire time I was reading that scene because I just loved it so much. Hats off to you, Ms. Asher, you rocked it.

Veils (The Killers #4) (11)

But enough about Jarvis and Grady's bromance. His and Gracie's relationship gave me so many happy sighs. Jarvis was that type of hero that is partly frustrating to read about since he's so possessive in the beginning. Yet at the same time you can't help but love him and all his Alpha caveman ways. I loved seeing him pursue *cough* stalk *cough* Gracie and be so attentive even as she was pushing him away.

They were both so easy to like characters and I was rooting for them to get through everything and get an HEA. And true to this series there was more than just romance in the book. We also got some suspense and action throughout the story too. Overall it was an amazingly intense and sweet book that had me staying up almost all night just to finish. Definitely a recommended read.

Brynne Asher writes good storiesā€¦

I find myself lost for words when it comes to writing a review for Veils. I think itā€™s because it can be easily summed up by saying that itā€™s good. Brynne Asher has a talent for writing romance that satisfies all my needs. A strong and determined heroine who knows what she wants to be matched with a hero thatā€™s fierce, intelligent and extremely sexy. The storyline captured my attention from the start and held it to the very end. The additional characters are ones I have grown to love in previous instalments, and I enjoy seeing where they are at now. The sexy times are HOT!! Basically, Veils is good.

Thereā€™s a little part of me that feels guilty when I get so much enjoyment out of the heroine being put in a dangerous situation. I know itā€™s bad that sheā€™s in trouble and maybe risking her life. Itā€™s just that I love it when the hero rushes in to save her. I know there are plenty of women out there who can save themselves and donā€™t need a man to rush in guns blazing, but it seriously DOES IT FOR ME! Yes, itā€™s the *heā€™s so hot when heā€™s in charge* that makes me sigh in delight, and Iā€™m a sucker for *he picked her up and cradled her in his arms*. So, itā€™s not that I want the heroine to be vulnerable, I just want the hero to save the day and then be all soft and gooey looking after the heroine. Noah does ^^^THIS^^^ very well.

I really enjoyed getting to know Noah better and thought that Gracie was the perfect match for him. Their story was proof that sometimes you just have to find the right person to make you believe in love. Both Noah and Gracie are not looking for love when they met and it takes Gracie a lot longer than Noah to believe what feelings they have are worth fighting for. I loved Noahā€™s determination and thought that Gracie was just being stubborn holding him off for as long as she did. For goodness sakes, heā€™s HOT, BOSSY AND EXTREMELY SEXY. What more could a girl ask for?

Veils is an action-packed adventure and I really enjoyed Gracie and Noahā€™s journey to happiness. From a person who is a shocking secret keeper and very *what you see is what you get*, I tend to get a little frustrated when the characters hold back important information. Getting information out of Gracie is like pulling teeth. Noahā€™s patience with Gracie was a wee bit unbelievable. Iā€™m not sure how I would have handled the person I was coming to love, keeping secrets or not being open with me. But, then again, their relationship was pretty short and intense.

If youā€™re a Brynne Asher fan, you are going to love Veils. Itā€™s everything weā€™ve come to love and expect from The Killers. My favourite Killers and their partners were back, and I loved revisiting the vineyard and seeing Addyā€™s cows again. This story was good.

ā€œI had no idea one night with a stranger could be as intimate as it was hot. Because he did what I asked of him - he gave me a memory. He rocked my world in a way I wonā€™t soon find my equilibrium, if I ever do again.ā€

Imagine meeting a complete stranger at a wedding. A hot stranger. And connecting with him or her on a level you never have before. Expecting only one night together. Making memories you can take with you forever.

Then fate steps in.

A Killer and a Healer.

Noah and Gracieā€™s story is one of strength, revelations and a love so deep that nothing....not even over protective big brothers....can break them apart.

Veils is hands down the best book Ms Asher has written to date. Grab your favorite drink and snack and settle in when reading this book. Once you start you wonā€™t want to stop. LOVED IT!!!

4.5 stars. Wow, this series is šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ I canā€™t believe how long it took me to find this author! She wasnā€™t even on my radar until recently, which is crazy considering how many friends I have that seem to read everything she publishes. Iā€™m so glad that I FINALLY stumbled upon her work! I have yet to read a disappointing book & she has quickly become a new favorite author.

So back to this bookā€¦ I am just blown away by how good each book in this series has been, and this one was yet another winner. The H&h meet and have a one night stand, but it ofc doesnā€™t stay a one night stand. The heroine has reasons for trying to keep her emotional distance from men, and she tries very hard to push the hero away - but he wasnā€™t having it. Thereā€™s a lot of action and drama in this story, but it never took away from the romance and connection between the MCs. I loved them together & I especially loved how each of their characters were a part of previous book storylines. We got to see a lot of growth and finally got some answers about both of them.

I canā€™t wait to read the next bookā€¦ so going right into it. šŸ˜…šŸ˜… If I was smart, I would space these out. But alas, no patience.

Safe; no virgins, no om/ow drama, both celibate prior to the start of this book, no cheating.

TW: physical violence, assault, threats of rape, mentions of cheating (not MCs)

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

ā€œGive me a memory, Loverā€

Thatā€™s exactly what Ms. Asher has given me....so many memories! Iā€™m still trying to come to terms that Iā€™m finished because I just want to be in Gracie and Noahā€™s life some more.

Letā€™s talk writing.....For me to connect to a story/character, they need to feel ā€œrealā€ for me. I want to be able to be the heroine/hero, basically walk in their shoes. I was able to do that! I walked in Gracieā€™s shoes....in more ways than one. I was able to feel all her doubts, her fear, her love and most importantly, her hope.

Noah....ahhhhh.....he is my Noah...he was brought to life for me in so many ways: he was pretty intense and all ALPHA! And you all know I love this ALPHAā€™s. He was the perfect partner for Gracie. I love how he couldnā€™t get enough and didnā€™t let go.

Veils is one of my top reads! I felt like I was meeting friends as soon as I opened my nook.

A friend asked me what images came to mind while I was reading, well, here they are:

Hope
Compassion
Protection
Defiance
Forgiveness
Earth shattering

Thank you Ms. Asher for giving Gracie the story she deserved and for giving Noah Gracie. And most of all, thank you for the memories.

This story is absolutely everything good, including words that havenā€™t even been invented yet. I know Brynne Asher is an amazingly talented writer, but Jarvis and Gracieā€™s story blew every expectation I had, away! It is action packed, sweet, emotional and oh so sexy, you never know where the story is going to take you next. I was gripped from page one and was hooked until the very end. Now I want to go back and do a reread to discover things I missed in my haste to devour every page, but the one thing that really made me fall in love with this book, was the humour throughout, my heart would be breaking one moment and the next Iā€™d be laughing out loud.

This is such a beautiful love story that spans continents where every stolen, shared moment is made to count. Opposites really do attract when these two are together, after all, Noah Jarvis is a hired hitman, ridding the world of the dangerous people that threaten the way of life as we know it, and Gracie Cain is a nurse, a healer, someone who wants to make the world a better place by spreading the love she has to give. Gracie is sweet as sugar, a survivor, and someone so strong, sheā€™s inspirational. She doesnā€™t need the protective alphas around her, but sheā€™s grateful for them anyway. Noah Jarvis is sexy as sin, loyal and protective to his family, blood and other, alpha as they come, but underneath it all, he is a gentle giant wrapped in a rock hard, killer body.

The connection is there from the very beginning and try as she might to be done with him after just one night and the memory he gave her, Gracie canā€™t shake Noah, and in the end she doesnā€™t want to, and once she stops trying, she clings to him with everything she has, and him to her.

This family, blood and chosen, is so special, these characters, old and new make this one of my top 5 reads of 2019. I canā€™t tell you enough, how much you need Noah Jarvis in your life. Grab a copy immediately. A thousand gold stars Brynne Asher, I canā€™t wait for book 5....

Holy cow, this book was absolutely fantastic!! Brynne Asher always creates the best alphas around and Noah Jarvis definitely tops the list. He knows exactly what and who he wants and does whatever that is needed to get it. It was awesome how we were able to traipse around the world with them individually and then together. Noah and Gracieā€™s love story is full of intense and explosive chemistry, anticipation of what was to come and the ultimate happily ever after.

On top of what Iā€™ve already listed, we have the great suspense driven storyline that definitely keeps you guessing, and the heartbreaking and tragic past for both but then to see the healing powers they give to each other.

I really do not want to say anything more, but I do want to say the familiar faces we see adds so much to the greatness of this book. I highly recommend this book and all the others from this amazing author!! 5-stars all the way!

And what a memory did Brynne Asher gave us with this book. I have a humongous book hangover.
Veils is the 4th book in The Killers series and while each one of the books is amazing, but this one is my new favorite.

ā€œSheā€™s in the business of saving lives. Itā€™s my job to take themā€

Noah Jarvis and Gracie Cainā€™s story is beautiful, passionate and strong.
They thought it would be one night stand, but one night would never be enough.

The writing is beautiful. The storyline is amazing with lots of suspense and angst that will have you at the edge of your seat.
The chemistry and the passion between the main characters are out of this world hotšŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„
Oh Noah Jarvis. Love everything about him. He was intense and knew what he wanted and one night would never be enough.

Veils is the fourth book in the Killers series and can be read as a stand-alone, but the rest of the series is fantastic, so you might as well start at the beginning. You'll have no regrets!

Veils (The Killers #4) (21)
"Give me a memory."

When Noah Jarvis meets Gracie Cain, he has no idea she is his friend's little sister. That's fine, though--this is only supposed to be a one night stand, right? Umm...wrong. That's just the beginning for the killer and the healer.
Veils (The Killers #4) (22)
I LOVED Noah and Gracie! From the moment they met, sparks were flying! What's meant to be one memory, turns into so much more. This book is chock-full of action, suspense, humor, secrets and heat. It was wonderful to see all my favorites from the previous books--I've missed them! (The wives and their group text message with Jarvis had me laughing out loud!) Noah and Gracie had some tragic moments in their pasts and watching them be brave enough to shed their veils and show each other their true selves was a beautiful thing.

"When secrets are revealed, life is good. It might not always be easy, but nothing easy is worth fighting for."

And just when I thought I'd made it through the book without having to grab all the tissues, Brynne Asher hit me with that epilogue. I didn't mind though, because at the end, I was smiling through the tears.

"Life is too precious not to take advantage of every single moment. Memories. Our hearts are bursting with them."
Yes. I know my heart is.

Unpopular opinion alert. When I heard BA was writing a 4th book to her Killers series, I did not jump for joy. Now, hear me out. You see, the Killers series is probably one of my top favorite series of all time. ALL TIME. So, I should have been shouting from the roof tops that there was going to be another one right? But selfishly I thought to myself ā€“ how dare Brynne try and make me love another hero more than my Asa? Because Asa is it for me. Heā€™s the crĆØme de la crĆØme of all fictional men. And deep down in my soul, I knew she was going to make me cheat on my man. And I did. Dam her. Jarvis is, was and will be the best alpha male hero EVER.

Story Line: Veils is the story of Gracie (Gradyā€™s sister) and Jarvis. Quick note, you do not need to read books 1-3 to enjoy Veils, however, I HIGHLY recommend you read them at some point in your immediate future because they are amazing and perfect. Gracieā€™s life has been nothing short of traumatic. But sheā€™s the type of heroine who not only rises above her circ*mstances, they make her stronger ā€“braver ā€“ totally fierce. And then thereā€™s Jarvis. The best not one night stand of all time. I adore wedding hook ups. Why? I have absolutely no idea ā€“ itā€™s not like I have a personal story to rival them. Anyways, Jarvis and Gracie have probably THE HOTTEST night ever. I mean, SERIOUSLY. YOWZA. Then Gracie goes off to make the world a better place and prove to all of us just how freaking incredible she is. Then itā€™s not just a one night stand, then sh*te hits the fan, then you think here comes HEA, then more turmoil, then hotness, turmoil THEN we get the most EPIC HEA to ever grace my eyeballs. Saddleup buttercup, Veils is an intense and totally satisfying ride.

Interaction: BA alphas are seriously the best. And if any of you know me, you know Asa was probably my favorite alpha of all time. And then BA had to write Jarvis and make him just a hairline better than Asa. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!? Jarvis is sweet, protective, loyal, devoted, sexy, built like a Greek god, talented using several appendages, and the list goes on. I honestly didnā€™t know if Jarvis would measure up to Gracie at first. I mean, itā€™s Jarvis. But HOLY FREAKING COW, he is EVERYTHING. I made the mistake of mentioning how incredible he is to Mr Laundry. That conversation did not go well. My poor hubby had a nightmare I left him for a fictional guy ā€“ no joke. But that just tells you how much I raved to him about this character. Jarvis and Gracieā€™s connection is written with impeccable detail ā€“ enough to paint the perfect picture of soul mates that left my fingers tingling long after the last page was read.

Laundry: So, Iā€™ve already hinted at this, but in case you didnā€™t pick up on it ā€“ the laundry in this book is OFF THE CHARTS. If you think youā€™ve read some good laundry scenes in the past, oh honey, get ready. Because I was not prepared for the fire these two set in my soul. I kid you not, I had full body goosebumps every time these two were alone together. Is it normal to get all hot and bothered while writing a review? Not asking for a friendā€¦

Depth: You guys. There is SO MUCH I want to talk about here. But spoilers donā€™t make friends. Sorry, not sorry. Just know this ā€“ you WILL NOT see it coming. You will have to remove your jaw off your lap a minimum of 3 times while reading. And you will love every single second of it. Personally, the unexpected twists were some of my favorite moments, but letā€™s talk about what I CAN talk about. Like how about how Harry makes a special cameo? Or the fact that characters from books 1-3 have me catching a little baby fever? Dang tubes are tied, but thatā€™s beside the point. And can we just take a moment to appreciate Jarvisā€™ good taste in vehicles? I would gladly get caught for indecdent exposure in one of his rides. Just sayinā€™.

Whatā€™s the bottom line? This book is amazing. Veils reminded me what it feels like to fall in love when itā€™s the last thing on your mind. It filled my soul with a deep desire to push through the hard times and to always want to help others. It also got Mr Laundry lucky a few extra times which makes everyone a little happier. But in all seriousness, you need this book. It will touch you in all the right places and leave you with more than a memory.

"Give me a memory, Noah."

Have you ever read a book that kept you so tied up in the story that you locked yourself up in the house to do nothing but read for a couple of days? Well that is what I have been doing this weekend with Veils! I love romantic suspense and am always looking for a great series to get lost in and Brynne Asher's Killers series is one of my absolute favorites! Jarvis as we have come to know him is not the most social of men but he does feel the need to stop by one of his group members wedding reception. A beautiful young woman catches his eye and as they talk she asks him to "Give me a memory, Noah". Well Noah is going to give the lovely Grace a memory and more because after one night he is hooked and plans to find everything he can about the mysterious Grace. The biggest surprise is that Grace is Gracie Cain the younger and very overprotected sister of Grady Cain another member of the group. Gracie is about to go on an adventure that she has been planning for a year and one night with Noah was a memory she wanted but she definitely wasn't planning on the reality that is Noah Jarvis! These two are headed for an amazing journey that will take them across continents and intertwine their lives. I loved Jarvis for the imperfect hero that he is and Gracie is not only amazing as the selfless nurse that wants to help those in need but a young woman that has been delivered much tragedy in her life yet continues to look at life with love and hope for the future. If you haven't read the other Killers books, Veils will stand alone but I do recommend reading those so that you can get the whole backstory on the characters. Noah and Gracie's story is a really wonderful tale of lust, adventure, action and love overcoming all obstacles! And if you haven't figured it out from my review, I highly recommend it and all the Killers books!

5 Stars!

The Killers series has been absolutely amazing and hands down one of the best. Each and every book has gotten better and better but THIS ONE, this one is my brand new favorite (or should I say NOAH is my new favorite!).

Veils is a book I've been patiently waiting for and y'all, it was so worth. the. wait. and unputdownable in every single moment. Packed with heart, heat, suspense, all of the feels, and one unforgettable, explosive, unstoppable journey.... Noah and Gracie fiercely stole my heart and kept me glued to the pages until long after they stopped.

She wanted a memory and that's exactly what she gave and got. I've not forgotten this book or these characters since I finished a couple of days ago. I've missed these couples in the Killers series more than I realized and falling back onto their lives was everything (yay for rereads!). But Gracie and Noah, y'all, you ain't ready for them but in all the best ways.

I'd follow Brynne Asher to the ends of the Earth to read all her words y'all. This series is one of the BEST and SWOONIEST romantic suspense series out there... fight me on that. šŸ˜‰

DUH!! Of course I highly recommend this book.

This book shot my productivity all to sh*t- once I started it, I couldn't stop until I reached the end.
Not to eat.
Not even to pee.

Jarvis and Gracie's story is epic. Full of action, suspense, and intrigue, each chapter was like peeling back another layer, taking me deeper and deeper into the heart of this beautiful love story with every twist and turn.

Jarvis and Gracie both have tragic pasts, and their hurts became my hurts. But their beautiful moments also became my beautiful moments, and those moments chased every shadow away.

I can't even tell you about my favorite parts because spoilers, but trust me, I want to gush all about them! (Hit me up after release when I no longer have to fear the wrath of BA!)

Asa has been my favorite in this series since the beginning, but Noah Jarvis has intrigued me. And with his & Gracie's story, he definitely gave Asa some competition for the top Killers spot in my heart.

I loved this story from start to finish - it's full of so much heart (and heat, of course!)!! The dynamic of each relationship - Gracie & Noah; Gracie & Grady; Grady & Jarvis; Noah & his parents... etc. - is unique & fleshed out & just written SO WELL! We get some really great banter (some of the text messages made me LOL), action & adventure... It all plays out like a movie & I did not want to put it down to sleep or go to work or anything.

Thumbs way up! I'm looking forward to everyone discovering the layers of Gracie & Noah Jarvis!

4 Shiny Stars

Iā€™m not going to write a lengthy review because thereā€™s already a ton of fantastic reviews. That said, Jarvis (Noah) and Graceā€™s story is fantastic! Theyā€™re both strong characters who come with their own baggage. Gracie takes a bit of convincing from Jarvis to turn their one-night stand into something more, never fear my friends, Jarvis is like a sledgehammer he started busting down those walls around Gracie as soon as she left his bed. Unfortunately, itā€™s not all fun and games for this wonderful couple and Jarvis proves that he will do whatever it takes to make and keep Gracie safe. They have a bumpy and tragic road to their HEA so be prepared for some laughter, tears, fears, and finally their happily ever after.

Veils (The Killers #4) (31)

I loved seeing Crew, Brady, and Asa along with the ladies and their growing families. The ladies are so much fun!!! Their conspiring text messages to Jarvis had me laughing out loud. If you follow and interact with Brynne Asher on FB you already know her fabulous sense of humor and I love that it comes out in her books. Iā€™ve enjoyed every book in this series and I canā€™t wait for more!!!

You slay me Brynn Asher. I just finished Veils and I have actual tears in my eyes. I've loved all the books in this series but I have to say, Jarvis is the best yet. You absolutely killed it! ā¤šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»

I have to say, when I first met Jarvis years ago in Vines, I had no idea the depth he was hiding. While he was only a secondary character in the first 3 books, he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder that I wasn't sure would ever go away. We didn't get much of him so it was hard to really get a good read on his personality. I can now say I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and see how far he's come in his own story.

I liked Jarvis in the previous books. I even liked him in the beginning of Veils. But I fell in love with him at the airport when he brought Gracie breakfast burritos and replaced her coffee. I loved how he was intrigued by Gracie, how he knew she has secrets and he wanted her to tell them to him. He doesn't want to just learn all about her from her 'file', but have her open up to him of her own free will. He followed her across the world to get just a little more time with her. He pushes, but not in an obtrusive way.

"Go Chase your dreams, baby. Every single one of them. You deserve it."

If that doesn't scream perfect book boyfriend material, I don't know what does! ā¤šŸ˜ The biggest thing I liked about Jarvis, he doesn't like people. I don't either. That makes him A-Ok in my book! He's so sweet in a secret, only for Gracie kind of way. I loved how he was falling in love with her and was totally ok with it. He's making plans. Plans for a future with her where he never did anything like that before.I also love the added humor amidst the drama. Harry strikes again with her cute cow self.šŸ®

This book was so amazing! Jarvis and Gracie's story was just beautiful. Her history and the things she's endured.... For Gracie to be as strong as she is, it's just pure beauty. And how Jarvis was with her, how he fell for her and was determined to give her nothing but a beautiful life is what true love is. Yes, I know this is a fictional romance book, but so what. As a die-hard reader, THIS is what book boyfriends and book hangovers are made of.

I was hooked from the beginning. I tried to stay awake to read all in one sitting but that didn't happen. Luckily for me, I had a free morning with no plans but to get back to Veils and see it through to the beautiful end. And the ending was, indeed, beautiful. So sweet and perfect.Brynne Asher is such a great author. She really knows how to tell a story that hooks you in and just won't let go. The writing was awesome and the characters were great. I loved seeing the guys from the previous books and where they are now. I don't think too much time has passed in the story since the last book so it felt like I was picking up where Gifts left off. Either way, I really loved and enjoyed Veils!

The Killers series is one I go back to often and I'm glad I now have this gem to add to the pile.

I want to start out by thanking Brynne Asher for creating all the alphas in my reverse harem and then adding Jarvis too. Now itā€™s the entire Killers series alphas, sheā€™s such a giver to be creating my harem, and I will always be grateful for her thinking of me *winks*. I believe I did read where someone called dibs on Jarvis, and even though I adore that person...all I read was blah, blah, blah *laughs*

Ok, on with my review. A sh*t ton of stars, honestly there are no amount of stars that could do this book justice. This book was so amazing and this couple was everything. This book had every emotion you could possibly feel. I fell in love, I was shocked, I was in awe, I laughed, I cried, any emotion you can think of...I felt it. This is one of the many reasons I have dubbed this series a book crack series, the addiction is so real. The alphas are just as addicting as the series itself, which is why my reverse harem is all the males in this series. This may be my favorite book of the series, but I probably said that after every book in this series, because they are all that great.

This was a safe read. Their chemistry was crazy off the charts, so much heat. A sexy af OTT protective alpha and a tiny, but tough heroine. I think we expect the men of this series to be tough, but so are the women. I loved seeing all of my favorite characters of the series, and the women...their text, so damn funny. A fantastic storyline that will leave you wanting more. An epilogue and an hea. This series never ceases to amaze me, and it always leaves me wanting more.. Brynne Asher...you killed it....uh, no pun intended.

Psst...thanks again for my reverse harem.

Noah and Gracie are the couple you never knew you needed, until you meet them. I adored this story SO much and was hooked by the end of the prologue. And when that happens, you know youā€™re in for a good story that is worth losing sleep over!

Noah is meant to be a good memory, but heā€™s never been so great at the ā€œgoing with the flowā€ thing when he finds something he truly wants. And he wants Grace. He wants all of her memories and to make more with her. Heā€™s not going to let something as insignificant as danger and mystery, or even his best friend, get in his way.

Grace doesnā€™t think she wants more than a memory with Noah, but he has some magic (and serious determination) about him that changes her mind. Of course, she has to work through a few things before she can begin to believe in a forever. And Noah is the perfect man to work through them with her.

Of course, there are bumps in their journey, but when is the thing worth fighting for easy? Noah and Grace have their work cut out for them: he needs to break down her walls and she needs to let him. But when those walls come down, their life ahead becomes a thing of beauty. I canā€™t wait to see what comes next in this series.

SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

PERFECT!!! Iā€™m a lover of a brothers best book and Veils did not disappoint! I loved this book so much. Noah was all in from the beginning šŸ˜ NEVER backed down or turned his back when things got tough. He was a possessive alpha dirty talking killer that would stop at nothing to protect what was his!! I loved Grace too. Itā€™s not very often that I find a book and love both the H and h. Grace was strong and fierce. She was everything a man like Noah needed. SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

Noah and Gracie!

Another PHENOMENAL read by this truly amazing author. These characters and their story will grab you from page one and will never let you go.

My heart honestly broke for the two of them, then healed so beautifully. There was heart pounding suspense, humor, and melt your Kindle steam.

This authorā€™s writing never ceases to amaze me. She has this way of bringing you into the story and making you feel like youā€™re there and youā€™re a part of whatā€™s happening. She handled everything in this story with beauty and grace.

I cannot recommenced this book enough!

Veils delivers all the heart racing and pounding adventure mixed in with sweetly beautiful moments I've come to expect from the Killers series.

Gracie and Noah's story became so much more than what I was hoping and expecting to get, which absolutely delighted me and kept me riveted to my kindle, fighting between wanting to read faster to see what happens next and wanting to slow down so it wouldn't end yet.

I loved the match of healer Gracie combined with killer Noah, and how each had exactly what the other desperately needed. There's something swoon-worthy about a man who knows what he wants and doesn't allow anything to get in his way.... anything! And then having the girl be the soft that helps to smooth out her man's rough edges? Add in the beauty that comes from friendships and family, and the intense way that love is shown, magic is created.

As with all the other stories in the Killers series, Veils quickly became a favorite and I'm looking forward to what the future holds for this story-world.

Finally!!! It feels like I have been waiting forever for Jarvisā€™ book and it more than exceeded my expectations. Which were really freaking high! Jarvis and Graceā€™s tale hits the ground running and the action kept me glued to the pages wondering what would happen next. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite romantic subgenres. But their love story? True perfection. No one writes an alpha male like this author. Noah Jarvis is just bossy enough to give the delicious shivers. But underneath all the badassery is a man sensitive to his womanā€™s needs the most important of which is her happiness. I think we all need a Jarvis in our life. Grace is one lucky lady! Grace has raced to the top of my list of all-time favorite heroines. To say she had a difficult childhood is an understatement. But she survived and thrived and her spirit is beautiful. Initially, she tries to push Noah away and marginalize their time together and I have to admit I was a bit confused at first. But as Graceā€™s motivations become clear, it becomes understandable and heartbreaking. I have such admiration for her, and her lifeā€™s journey makes her truly an amazing woman. And Noah certainly has some baggage of his own. Recalling the angry, determined man from earlier in the series I finally totally got where he was coming from.
This story had many twists and turns and a few surprises I did not see coming. Our coupleā€™s adventures take us to Belgium, Africa, France, and the US. And these locales each add something special to our experience of their love story and the development of the plot. I have enjoyed each and every book in this Killers Series. They just seem to keep getting better and better! Of course we have appearances by Crew, Asa, Grady and the rest of the gang. It was great to catch up with their lives and they are integral to the story as well. The title of the book helps give true meaning to its contents. The veils that cover secrets, the veils that cover feelings, the veils waiting for the right person to brush them aside and see whatā€™s beneath. This is a stellar addition to The Killers series and I loved every word.

Spoilers ahead, 3 * rounded up cuz I'm a safety girl at heart

Jarvis a former Seal and member of Crew and Grady's team meets a gorgeous woman at Asa's wedding and they have a fantastic night together, he wants more but she's leaving for an international trip the next day. To his shock she turns out to be none other than Grady's younger sister. Even knowing his friend would be angry Jarvis isn't willing to give Grace up until his past ays a brutal visit and Grace pays the price

Grace hooks up with Jarvis thinking it'd be a into time thing, he however doesn't give up. Grace is finally living her life out of the stifling and overprotective confines of her family and she doesn't want to put her dreams onhold for anything not even a relationship, two weeks in Africa with her regularly texting Jarvis makes her realize he's come to mean something to her. When Grace leaves to return home she's kidnapped, viciously beaten and threatened rape all because other association with Jarvis but Grace finally realizes that she's not willing to give him up.

**********
Ok so I enjoyed this one for the most part
Let me say that was the longest ONS I've ever read, Jarvis has STAMINA!!šŸ˜‚

Ok so again I got a possessive bossy badass, I'm not sure if the fact that these guys basically do as they please whether the h wants it or not is sexy or creepy šŸ¤” but Grace wanted a ONS and Jarvis wasn't giving up. I liked them in the beginning even though they weren't even in the same country
I admired Grace for her volunteer work and enjoyed her time in Africa

I had a huge problem with what occurred when she left, now Grace is kidnapped and brutally beaten by a guy who's searching for Jarvis....when she's rescued does Grace immediately tell Jarvis that a seriously wacked bad guy is looking for him for revenge??? Nope she doesn't want to talk about it!!! Like seriously?!!! Woman a bad guy is looking for your man!!!! You tell him so he can do his badass sh*t and get rid of the threat!!!! Da hell????! She confessed to one of the other women who of course having much more than basic common sense immediately tells the guys!! I was so embarrassed for Grace! That was a huge TSTL moment

Other than that this was a good enough read, the bad guys are neutralized, we see the previous couples as well as get the set up for more in this series hopefully including Jarvis's newly found brother

For me reading about badasses is tough, I need these guys to deliver on the badassery and here they delivered for the most part but I'd prefer they talk less šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I have an image of a badass and he is Walker Texas Ranger okayyyy he doesn't go about cussing and threatening everyone he gets sh*t done!! I know this author has her own personal badass so I'm hopeful she channels him some more but with less chatter lol (I'm in a mood today!!! Sorry)

Epilogue which made the book for me! I love that they were building their own mini United Nations. I'm always grateful for a safe read that's also got a good plot and isn't just about sex so I'm going high on this one

No cheating
No manwhoring or womanwhoring (though Grace's past irked me)
No OW/OM drama
Kidnapping, physical abuse
Grace was badly beaten by her dad as a child
